Maybe I'm Amazed

Usually I do the cooking for my little family of 4- which is really just two if you 're counting humans only.  I do okay with it, and my husband at least always acts like what I've cooked tastes good.

Occasionally though, he gets a wild hair and decides to take over in the kitchen, or more likely, at the grill.

Why is it that food cooked by someone else always automatically tastes better?  Especially when they also clean the kitchen up afterwards?!
steak on top of lettuce and tomatoes- made by him- YUM
potatoes- good, but not as good as the steak (made by me!)

ha - wish it were the case when my dear hub takes over the kitchen! I usually end up becoming a sort of sous chef and doing lots of peeling and cleaning up. Not my idea of fun.

Oh, I relate to the above comment! But this summer has been so hot and I've been so lazy, no matter the mess I prefer someone else deciding what to cook and then making it! Those potatoes look tasty to me!

Great cover of Maybe I'm Amazed! I love that song and I love hearing your perform :)

We are just like you, it's me, my husband, and 3 fur-covered creatures who are our children! My hubby was trained as a chef so I am verrry lucky! Food definitely tastes better when cooked by someone else! XO!

I love it when my husband cooks! He has a fairly limited repertoire, but it contains several recipes from his Hungarian grandmothers, and every dish is to die for.

Don't you just love it when the men in our lives do some grillin' for us! For some reason, when they cook, it just tastes so much better than when we do ;-)

Aww what an amazing hubby you have... mine loves cooking but is not so hot on the cleaning up stakes!!! But I agree, food always tastes sooo much better when someone else has prepared it.
Absolutely adore that song and your lovely voice too.

That does look tasty! I love when hubby cooks, but like Moyra, I usually end up helping (in my case usually finding things -- bowls, ingredients) and washing up after. That man dirties a LOT of dishes when he cooks!

I love your version of this song!! You have such a lovely voice.

Delicious looking photos & I absolutely agree that food tastes better when someone else makes it. If only I could get my hubby to cook!! :)

It's a pity there was such a lot of background noise to the video. Still, a great cover of a great song.
